Terms Of Business

These terms of business apply to the products side of our business only. Consultancy services are negotiated on a case by case basis usually based upon our standard consulting terms of business.

You can make payment by Paypal, cheque, postal order, credit card (Visa, Mastercard) and debit card (Visa Delta, Connect, Switch, Solo). We do not advise sending cash through the post. If you don't have a suitable bank account you can buy a Postal Order at any Post Office. postal orders to get the value you want. The smallest denomination of postal order is 50p. These (50p) postal orders are effectively worthless because they cost as much to bank as their face value. If you find you can't make your order total without including one of these, please feel free to reduce the amount by 1p.

You can use this web site to place orders on-line using a credit or debit card, or you can order by post, fax or telephone. Even if you'd prefer not to give your credit card details on-line you can still use the "Buy" buttons and trolley system to assemble your order, then choose the appropriate option for the method of payment and follow the instructions.

When placing orders online by  telephone or cheque/postal order payments by post your account will be debited at the point where you place your order. It's not the way we'd choose to have it but we're restricted by the way the payments systems work and the card companies now require all orders to be processed on-line. This can mean that, in an extreme case, your order isn't despatched until several days after your account has been charged. If, for instance you place an order on a Friday night before a bank-holiday weekend then your order won't be despatched until the following Tuesday. If for any reason we can't fulfil your on-line order within two working days of it being placed we will contact you and, if necessary, arrange a refund.

Since we can't control what order you may submit on-line, no contract of sale for any product will subsist until we accept your order, either by way of shipment or by way of other written confirmation.

Where delivery is requested to an address other than the registered address of the card being used for payment, we may request further information in order to satisfy ourselves that the delivery address is genuine. This is for your protection as well as ours.

The on-line order facility is fully encrypted for your security. Your card details are passed straight to the banks for security checks and authorisation - we never see them.

We also welcome personal callers but it's a good idea to ring first (0121 313 3857) to make sure we have what you want in stock.

All the prices on our website include VAT where appropriate.

We charge for delivery as follows:

UK orders
  Order value under £20£2.00
  Order value £20 or overFree
Elsewhere in Europe
  Minimum£3.00
Calculated by weight to a maximum of£50.00

Orders are despatched by 1st class post. We can send orders by overnight courier on request at extra cost. The Royal Mail collect from us at about 4 p.m. and orders for wireless devices, CDs and DVDs received up to about 2.45 p.m. will generally be despatched the same day. If you're in a desperate rush, please say so and we'll do all we can to meet your needs. Laptops and Desktops take longer, (up to a week) this is because they are configured specifically for you.

We welcome official purchase orders from educational institutions, government departments, and local councils on 30 day terms. For those wishing to pay by BACS, please ask and we will forward the relevant bank details to you.

Laptops and other hardware

The thin-film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD) for notebook computers contains many TFTs. The presence of a small number of missing, discolored, or lit all the time dots or pixels is characteristic of TFT LCD technology due to manufacturing process for such technology irrespective of manufacturer.

If your LCD has 2 or less visible defective pixels, it should not be considered faulty. However, if your LCD has 3 or more visible defective pixels, it will be deemed as defective by Lenovo and is replaceable upon request, if within the warranty period.

Click here to see Lenovo's laptop pixel warranty.

We will not accept orders for notebooks and PC's from outside the UK.

Returned Goods

Before returning any goods please get in touch to obtain a returns number. Any goods returned due to fault will be exchanged or refunded. Goods returned because of 'Change of mind etc' will be subject to a 15&percent; restocking fee if in re-saleable condition.

CD duplication

We have our own facilities for the bulk duplication of CDs, including label printing directly onto the back of the CD for a professional result. We can duplicate both data and audio CDs to your requirements. A CD of your school choir or orchestra performing can be a great fundraiser at your Christmas fair or similar.

See below for more information about our CD duplication and the blanks we use.

Caveat: We will duplicate CDs only where we are satisfied that all copyright requirements have been observed. For a music CD this can mean getting permission from the composer (if the work is still in copyright), the performers and the person who did the recording.

Our CDs

Our own CDs are produced using commercial CD duplication facilities. These machines automatically duplicate and verify the CDs, resulting in very high reliability.

We use exclusively Taiyo Yuden CD-R blanks which our extensive tests have shown to be the best available. Even when bought in quantity they cost significantly more than the no-name blank CD-Rs you can buy in many computer shops but when you're making hundreds of CDs, cheap blanks are a false economy.

The result of this care is that our return rate for faulty CDs is extremely low - fewer than 1 CD in every 2000 we send out is returned as faulty. This however is little consolation if you happen to be the person who gets the faulty CD, so if it does happen to you then please ring or e-mail immediately and we'll send a replacement off to you.
